A Mother's Day Tribute: A Mother's Voice

I played a lot of sports growing up, and I can tell you that no matter how many fans are in the stands, a boy can hear his mother’s voice. Well, at least this boy could hear his mother’s voice. My mom was always there to support and love me. Even with all that love and support, I did find one moment of weakness where I told my mom to "shut up". It was a regrettable decision, and I felt awful and remorseful the moment it came out of my mouth. (BTW, it didn’t stop her)

Moms are our biggest fans. Moms show it in all different ways. I’m on social media and I see the proud mama bears all over the world showcasing their baby bears. It never stops and never shuts off.

As I draw closer to all the women in my life who have an influence on me, they make me want to be a better son, husband, brother, father, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, son-in-law, and friend. Women are divine. They are more in tune with the spirit and God. Their wisdom and intuition are deep and powerful, and we should all learn from them.

Wise men will always have a wise woman in their corner and the smarts to listen to them. Women’s divine nature and natural instincts make them a valuable partner on any journey you choose to take.

The mother of my children always amazes me and inspires me. In my moments of weakness as a husband and father, she shines. Her light is so bright that it pulls me away from the darkness and back into the light. She brings peace and love to the equation when I want to kick and scream.

Women, let your voices be heard. Not as the world wants, but as God intends. Your divinity is needed in this world. Your voice brings peace and love to the world. Be a God-loving woman and share that divinity with the world that needs you to lead.

We all need to hear a mother’s voice in our lives; we long for it. Some have lost their mothers, and others might not have had a loving mother, yet we still long for it. Take treasure in the memories or current sweet sound of a mother’s voice. A mother’s voice comes in all forms of womanhood. Seek it, find it, and honor it. Find peace in God as he created women to have a voice and for it to be heard.

Thank you, moms, and all women, for your voice!
